About the role
- Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
- Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.).
- Schematic capture and RF routing.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (RF/Electronic Design Focus)
- Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
- Background designing, testing, and troubleshooting analog and Radio Frequency CCAs.
- Integration and test of CCAs and subsystems.
- Hands-on experience with design simulation tools such as ADS or Microwave Office and Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab or equivalent.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, phase noise analyzer (PNA), spectrum analyzers, real time spectrum analyzers, and performance network analyzers to test and verify the functions of digital and RF signal circuits and subsystems.
