About the role
- Perform Reliability analysis such as Reliability Predictions, Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Perform safety assessment process in accordance with ARP4761 or MIL-STD-882E, including but not limited to, Functional Hazard Assessments (FHAs), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSAs), System Safety Assessments (SSAs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs)
- Support systems, hardware, and software engineering teams in defining system safety requirements during development activity
- Review of design and development documentation for safety critical functions
- Mentor and train less experienced RMS engineers
- Accountable to team members and organizational leadership for committed work and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expertise in assigned areas (program, function, process, technology, etc)
- Collaborate with internal customers, stakeholders, and organizational leaders to develop plans
- Use your effective oral/written communication skills (including technical writing)
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Basic circuit analysis knowledge is required.
- Ability to read schematics and electronic specifications
- Basic knowledge of reliability analysis techniques
- Knowledge of writing technical reports
