About the role
- Represent the engineering organization on the Small Commercial Engines Integrated Program Management Team, ensuring technical priorities are aligned with broader program goals.
- Provide strategic guidance and technical direction to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), empowering them to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.
- Oversee key milestones and deliverables by tracking IPT progress, identifying risks early, and driving teams to meet commitments.
- Ensure all program technical requirements, performance targets, and engineering budgets are tracked, managed, and achieved.
- Serve as the central hub for technical communication, internally across engineering and leadership teams, and externally with customers like Pratt & Whitney.
- Coordinate all technical scope changes, ensuring alignment with program leadership and seamless integration into program plans.
- Deliver clear, concise updates to senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and customer stakeholders, both written and verbal.
- Lead the charge on fleet monitoring and field investigations to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Drive root cause and corrective action (RRCA) efforts with a relentless commitment to reliability.
- Maintain and improve fleet reliability metrics to support long-term program success and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Working experience in Project Engineering, Program Management, or similar field.
- Working experience indirectly leading cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
- Working Familiarity with control systems for commercial turbofan engines is highly desired, including system-level integration and performance.
- Experience in the design, development, and certification of control system hardware, with an understanding of regulatory and industry standards
- Working knowledge in systems engineering principles, including requirements development, validation, and verification.
- Experience effectively communicating complex technical information across all levels of the organization from engineering teams to executive leadership and external customers.
