About the role
- Own and manage enterprise licensing for secure print/scan and related platform components, including license forecasting, procurement coordination, renewals, true-ups, and compliance.
- Maintain license inventory and entitlement records; track utilization and adoption to optimize spending and prevent service disruption.
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, Vendor Management, and Cybersecurity to ensure licensing aligns to contractual terms, security requirements, and deployment plans.
- Support vendor relationships for licensing (support contracts, maintenance, renewal negotiations, and audit responses).
- Serve as the technical lead/system administrator for an enterprise secure print release (pull print/follow-me print) solution in classified enclaves.
- Design and implement secure scanning workflows (e.g., scan-to-approved network destinations) with MFA-based user authentication and strong auditing.
- Integrate the secure print/scan solution with enterprise identity services (e.g., Active Directory, group-based access control), certificate services/PKI where applicable, and MFA mechanisms approved for the environment.
- Engineer, configure, and maintain print infrastructure, which may include: Print management platform(s), print servers, queues, driver packaging/standardization, and high availability where required.
- Implement and maintain security controls for print/scan, including least privilege, segmentation, secure protocols, encryption where applicable, secure job storage and release, and audit logging.
- Build repeatable deployment patterns (install standards, automation/scripts, packaging, configuration as code where feasible) and produce documentation (implementation plans, SOPs, admin guides, user quick starts).
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret) required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience deploying and administering an enterprise secure print release capability (e.g., pull-print/follow-me printing) and secure scanning workflows.
- Experience implementing MFA-enabled authentication for print/scan use cases (e.g., smartcard/cert-based auth, badge/PIV/CAC integrations, or environment-approved MFA methods).
- Windows Server system administration skills (AD, DNS/DHCP familiarity, GPOs, file/print services, service accounts, logging/monitoring fundamentals).
- Experience supporting IT services in regulated or classified environments, including implementing hardening/compliance requirements (e.g., STIG-aligned configurations and audit expectations).
- Troubleshooting skills across endpoint-to-service flows (client, server, authentication, network, and device).
- Experience managing enterprise software licenses (renewals, compliance, usage tracking, and budgeting/forecasting) for IT infrastructure or enterprise platforms.
