About the role

  • Serve as the CIPT project lead ensuring disciplined execution and collaboration across Digital Controls engineering teams.
  • Monitors project plans, schedules, and budgets for projects.
  • Identifies , develops, and gathers necessary resources to ensure project completion.
  • Manages all aspects of an engineering project and program.
  • Works with Engineering Managers to allocate Engineering and Certification resources.
  • Drives strategic program planning and assigns tasks to ensure business targets are met.
  • Conducts IPD meetings and prepares reports to effectively communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
  • Identifies and reacts to complex project problems and recommends solutions, such as reallocating resources, and assisting resolution development.
  • Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.
  • Supports the preparation of external proposals, internal work statement quotations and terms/conditions of contracts.
  • Reviews project and budget status manages schedules and prepares reports.
  • Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives .
  • Meets program schedules and budgets and maintains the integrated master schedules for project(s).
  • Planning arbitration and adjudication across IPTs Recovery planning and workaround facilitation

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Product Life Cycle Knowledge including Systems, Hardware, Software, and Mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience working within DO-254 and DO-178 certification program(s), including Stages of Involvement (SOI) Audits under EASA or FAA
  • Experience working on NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.
  • Experience with resource loading, identifying and resolving over-allocations and resource reporting in MS Project
  • Experience with cost and schedule integration, supported by a solid understanding of project management theory and concepts.
  • Experience leading to the development of complicated systems
  • Proficiency level skills with Microsoft Project and MS Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn new tools and software, and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
