Architect, design, and lead the development of mission-critical software systems supporting global aviation communication networks
Serve as a technical authority for air-ground and ground-ground communications, command and control systems, logging, test frameworks, and OS/hardware customization
Define and guide software architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, availability, security, and long-term maintainability
Lead technical planning, estimation, and execution across multiple projects, influencing scope, resources, and schedules
Mentor and technically guide software engineers, setting engineering standards and best practices across teams
Collaborate across disciplines (systems engineering, performance, network engineering, cybersecurity, and system acceptance) to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions
Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in lab and field environments, including root cause analysis for complex system issues
Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and software quality across the organization

Requirements

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, OR Advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Demonstrated experience leading complex software development efforts across the full product lifecycle
Experience working in team-based environments using disciplined development processes
Proven ability to lead software estimation, planning, and technical execution for teams of 3+ engineers
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
