About the role

  • Architecture development, requirements analysis, hardware design, hands-on testing of components, circuit card assemblies, and subsystems
  • Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters
  • Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.)
  • Working with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.
  • Schematic capture and RF routing
  • Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities
  • Cost and schedule management plus proposal writing

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 10 years' of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 7 years' of prior work experience
  • Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, CST, and/or Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
