About the role
- Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works.
- Interpret various program requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements.
- Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including: Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.
- Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
- Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.
- Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.
Requirements
- Typically Requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 5 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
- Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience with one or more of the following Quality Management standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.
- Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
