About the role
- Key role supporting the Head of Finance – Operations
- Deliver business advice and coordinate management of functions
- Impact profitability and competitiveness of the organisation
- Own business partnering relationships with senior leaders
- Prepare and support monthly SLT Rates Review Boards
- Drive interlock between functions and the business
- Support functional leads in creating and managing dashboards/metrics
- Support operational planning by linking various business plans
- Create and manage zero based budgets and finance governance processes
- Input into Risk and Opportunities register
- Support capex and change projects
Requirements
- A University degree or equivalent
- CIMA / ACCA / ACA (or equivalent) part qualified
- Relevant years’ experience in finance roles
- Excellent presentational skills
- Comfortable with data and detail
- Ability to extract high level messages
- Experience of presenting to senior audiences
- Ability to work on concurrent issues/problems under time pressure
- Effective prioritisation skills
- Experience of working collaboratively within teams
- Excellent planning skills
- Strong communicator and networker
- Ability to provide meaningful and actionable insight
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent systems skills, including SAP and Microsoft Office
- Experience in a programme environment / knowledge of accounting for long term contracts
- Negotiation experience and influencing skills
