About the role
- Prepare the Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP)
- Prepare the annual Incurred Cost Submission for the establishment of final billing rates
- Prepare the required CAS disclosure statements
- Ensure appropriate cost recovery while maintaining compliance with company policies, Cost Accounting Standards, and Federal Acquisition Regulation
- Maintain government accounting framework, including translating from performance accounting to government cost accounting
- Interface with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) as required on topics related to forward pricing rates, billing rates, incurred cost proposals, and related audits
- Support government accounting aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, internal reorganizations, and other company initiatives
- Travel up to 5%
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- 2+ years experience in Accounting or Finance
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred
- Experience in government accounting at a defense contractor
- Extensive experience balancing multiple priorities and producing quality work within a given timeframe
- Experience supporting both internal and external audits
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required, while proficiency with Microsoft Access, SAP and/or Hyperion is preferred
- Familiarity with relevant Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) cost principles
- Prior association / interaction with DCAA and DCMA
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to effectively summarize analyses and communicate at various levels.
