About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including equipment sales contracts and amendments to existing contracts for both commercial and government customers as well as aftermarket service and repair agreements for government customers
- Prepare contractual documents and correspondence, including proposal letters, contract amendments, claims, and assertions in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Support and manage licenses and rights for the use of Collins Aerospace intellectual property, including ensuring compliance with government data rights and marking requirements where applicable
- Offer guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including senior and executive leadership, on contractual risk, government compliance considerations, and negotiation strategies
- Review proposals and bid packages for compliance with FAR Part 15 requirements, pricing provisions, and other customer terms
- Identify and resolve contract-related issues with both internal and external customers, including government representatives, primes, and subcontractors
- Collaborate closely with other Collins Aerospace contract managers to ensure consistency in practices, compliance, and knowledge sharing across business units
- Lead coordination with customer program teams on contract interpretations, proposal development, and negotiation strategies
- Maintain awareness of changes in government contracting regulations and policies, and communicate impacts to the business
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Contracts Experience
- Aerospace Industry experience
- Strong communication skills
- FAR 15 and FAR 12 experience
- Commercial Item Determination Experience
- MBA, or business degree
