About the role

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including equipment sales contracts and amendments to existing contracts for both commercial and government customers as well as aftermarket service and repair agreements for government customers
  • Prepare contractual documents and correspondence, including proposal letters, contract amendments, claims, and assertions in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Support and manage licenses and rights for the use of Collins Aerospace intellectual property, including ensuring compliance with government data rights and marking requirements where applicable
  • Offer guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including senior and executive leadership, on contractual risk, government compliance considerations, and negotiation strategies
  • Review proposals and bid packages for compliance with FAR Part 15 requirements, pricing provisions, and other customer terms
  • Identify and resolve contract-related issues with both internal and external customers, including government representatives, primes, and subcontractors
  • Collaborate closely with other Collins Aerospace contract managers to ensure consistency in practices, compliance, and knowledge sharing across business units
  • Lead coordination with customer program teams on contract interpretations, proposal development, and negotiation strategies
  • Maintain awareness of changes in government contracting regulations and policies, and communicate impacts to the business

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Contracts Experience
  • Aerospace Industry experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • FAR 15 and FAR 12 experience
  • Commercial Item Determination Experience
  • MBA, or business degree
