About the role
- Serve as the Raytheon International Security Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Provide effective leadership capabilities and experience with uncompromising integrity and ethics
- Be relied upon to be self-starting leader with minimal daily supervision
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of security professionals in a dynamic, matrixed environment, while ensuring compliance with all established policies and governmental requirements
- Manage a range of administrative functions including personnel management, fiscal responsibility, document accountability, and investigation management related to security-specific issues
- Actively manage, plan, schedule, and arrange activities in accomplishing required objectives
- Maintain an active oversight of international security operations and emerging trends to anticipate and identify risks, proactively evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities, in parallel with shaping and validating comprehensive risk mitigation plans to safeguard critical business assets, to include those related to US and Global Defense Industry peers
- Participate with the RTX International Security Group (ISG) to assess active threats of terrorism, crime, social unrest/protests/demonstrations, kidnappings, the reliability of host country infrastructure and security forces, as well as regional and country challenges
- Prepare, timely update and support internal and external security-related briefings, reports, and reviews
- Liaise between the RTX GSS group, GSS business level groups, and industry forums to enhance an in-depth understanding of security operations and ensure the delivery of a comprehensive security program offering of a well-developed network of country and regional public and private sector counterparts
- Serve as the Raytheon GSS lead for International Duty of Care responsibilities, to include emergency evacuation of personnel
- Collaborate with the RTX Travel Security team to ensure a comprehensive effort for safety of all Raytheon expatriates and international travelers
- Identify, source, develop required supplier statement of work and collaborate with security service providers to meet the requirements of supporting our employees for high-risk international travel
- Provide best security practices and guidance across all RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) phases, to include Bases of Estimates (BOEs) through contract closeout, to ensure the international security plan remains aligned with the program’s requirements, compliant and mitigates risk
- Manage the International Physical Security Assessment Program to ensure an accurate and timely review, and documentation of site physical security standard requirements
- Serve as the Raytheon International Lead for the Workplace Violence and Threat Management Program
- Collaborate with RTX Executive Protection to support executive protection for Raytheon Senior Leadership Team members on international trips to high-risk destinations
- Collaborate with RTX Event Security to support international events involving Raytheon employees
- Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, external customers, and senior leadership across multiple strategic business units
- In collaboration with International Site Leaders, develop solutions to security issues of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation with limited resources
- Collaborate with GSS Strategic Business Unit Security Directors as it relates to global captures and program support
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and multi-disciplinary members to ensure compliance with policies and standards to help ensure consistent application of security across the organization
- Advise, lead or develop, as needed, the implementation and maintenance of all international security related company policies, standards, guidelines, processes, procedures, plans, resources and tools
- Work extended hours in a fast-paced deadline driven environment and be available outside scheduled work hours to support business execution requirements
- Travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
Requirements
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
- Experience managing a geographically dispersed team of security professionals and resources
- Experience of providing international security services while operating within a team environment
- Experience with crisis management, which requires demonstrating high-pressure decision-making, communication and coordination skills
- Experience with physical and technical security systems, crisis management, and risk mitigation practices to ensure the safety and security of people living and working in austere environments
- Experience with international security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ASIS, BS 7858)
- Experience with coordination and collaboration with both internal and external customers.
