About the role
- Responsible for designing and supporting the company’s business transformation through the development of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) / Digital Thread solutions
- Participate from project scoping through solution documentation and execution of project activities, in collaboration with the PLM team and internal clients
- Translate business requirements into functional solutions and write technical specifications for optimal implementation
- Coordinate among stakeholders, including architects, developers, SAP and MES analysts, to ensure solution consistency
- Analyze internal client needs to produce specifications supporting PLM-based processes
- Influence software vendors to improve their tools based on P&WC’s business needs
- Validate service providers' statements of work
- Incorporate industry best practices into solution designs
- Prepare, document and present solution, test and support plans to decision-making bodies or at key project milestones
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in a solutions architecture, analyst, or application developer role
- Deep understanding of multiple aerospace disciplines, including model-based design, manufacturing and assembly process planning, configuration management, change management, and requirements management
- Experience on large-scale IT projects, including solutions architecture, software architecture, implementation and validation
- Experience deploying and supporting configured PLM platforms, ideally in an Agile environment with DevOps practices
- Knowledge of Dassault Systèmes 3DExperience platform is an asset (CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA)
- Familiarity with another PLM platform, such as Siemens Teamcenter, is also an asset—particularly manufacturing modules
- Bachelor's degree with 4–7 years of experience; or Master's degree with 2–5 years of experience
- Fields of study: Aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, aircraft manufacturing or related field with a strong IT component (OR) Information Technology with solid engineering or manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of PLM-based processes and proven experience with the 3DExperience platform are essential
