Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees needing technical assistance with computer systems, software, or hardware
  • Communicate via phone, email, or chat and provide clear instructions and information
  • Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Determine root causes and provide effective solutions
  • Guide employees through steps to implement solutions
  • Document interactions, problem descriptions, solutions, and resolution status in the help desk system
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the next level of support and coordinate timely resolution
  • Follow up with employees to verify resolution and provide additional assistance
  • Maintain technical knowledge and stay updated on products, services, and technologies
  • Identify and suggest improvements to help desk procedures and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working as a help desk technician or in a similar customer support role in a technical environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems, software, and hardware including Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Microsoft Office, and antivirus tools
  • Familiarity with network connectivity, printer configuration, software installation, password reset, and common troubleshooting methods
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts simply and understandably
  • Customer-oriented and empathetic, with professional handling of difficult or frustrated customers
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with accurate and efficient documentation and issue tracking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Experience working with Microsoft Defender
  • Deployment experience using Microsoft Intune
  • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer
