💰 $120,000 - $240,900 per year

About the role

  • Research, address, and consult on technical issues specific to IRS practice and procedural issues
  • Represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”)
  • Prepare written communications to the IRS regarding penalty abatement requests
  • Working on the IRS account issues, corrections and reconciliations
  • Prepare Private Letter Ruling Requests
  • Work with other specialty groups on issues that intersect with other technical matters
  • Participate in firm trainings
  • Manage multiple projects in fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Mentor staff and provide on the job training and supervision

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university
  • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA or Licensed attorney or Enrolled Agent
  • Minimum of five years of Tax experience with deep understanding and experience in IRS practice and procedures, and IRS Controversy
  • Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to office regularly and client sites as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrates experience working collaboratively with others and managing a team to achieve operational or project goals
  • Knowledge and experience with BBA Partnership Audit Regime
