About the role
- Provide direction, instruction, execution on client engagements
- Conduct research, data analysis, and preparing client deliverables
- Gather client requirements and documenting findings
- Assist in presenting recommendations to the client
- Lead, manage and conduct medium-scale compensation projects
- Support sales efforts through proposal and engagement development
- Build cross-functional project teams ensuring timely delivery, on budget quality outcomes, and client acceptance
- Develop tools, frameworks, and methodologies to address evolving compensation needs
- Continuously expand your knowledge of compensation principles, incentive design techniques through training and self-study
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development
- Actively build relationships within the team and firm
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 8 years of experience in compensation, 1 year external compensation consulting
- Holds one or more of the following certifications: CCP, CECP, or CEP
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and manage a team to achieve operational or project goals
- Ability to serve as a Performance Advisor; and strong attention to detail with effective time‑management, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform essential job functions including meeting client service and performance goals
- Demonstrates project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy without compromising quality of work product
- Ability to work in high pressure environments and maintain concentration while sitting at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods of time
- Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to office regularly and client sites as needed
- Client service mindset, ensuring high-quality support, responsiveness, and collaborative engagement with tax teams, internal teams, and clients
- Advanced understanding of compensation principles and methodologies to include incentive plan structures (short-term and long-term)
- Advanced knowledge of compensation benchmarking methodologies and survey participation.
- Knowledge of HRIS platforms and compensation management software.
