About the role
- Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance on corporate, commercial, regulatory, employment, and compliance issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements
- Oversee regional litigation, disputes, and investigations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate legal risks
- Support corporate restructuring and strategic initiatives in the region
- Implement policies, training, and risk mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience
- Significant in-house counsel experience supporting Latin American operations and US domestic
- Fluency in English and Spanish required
- Strong knowledge of commercial law
- Strong knowledge of trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the US and Latin America
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong relationship-building / interpersonal skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution; admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas preferred)
