About the role

  • Serve as a key individual contributor responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data pipelines and architectures
  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient data solutions that support business insights and decision-making
  • Design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performance data pipelines and data models
  • Ensure data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes are efficient, secure, and compliant with governance standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines, ensuring high data quality and availability
  • Implement best practices for data development, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and translate requirements into effective solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and support to ensure data solutions align with organizational goals
  • Implement and uphold data governance policies, including data security, privacy, and quality standards
  • Continuously monitor data pipelines and processes to maintain high standards of data integrity
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and frameworks
  • Recommend and incorporate new tools and techniques to improve data infrastructure and workflows
  • Manage your own workload to deliver projects on time and with high quality
  • Contribute to planning, design, and implementation of complex data solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related roles
  • Proficiency with big data tools and platforms (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, Scala, or Java
  • Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
