About the role

  • Serve as the Sr. Manager of Mission Control for Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD
  • Tactically manage strategic programs with continuous communication and interaction in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Manage cross-functional teams and prioritize projects
  • Derive strategic insights and communicate findings to all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate and transform diverse perspectives into a unified team approach
  • Proactively interface with project and program stakeholders
  • Monitor project status, resolve issues, and ensure risk mitigation
  • Improve stakeholder satisfaction and enhance communication
  • Provide strategic implementation guidance to project teams
  • Guide, mentor, and provide direction to a team of Managers, Program Managers, Analysts, and Coordinators
  • Drive projects forward by ensuring consistent adoption of project methodology and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree with a concentration in Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related field
  • 9-12 program/project experiences, including 5+ years of experience leading a team
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the Mission Control Transformation vision and inspire and motivate staff
  • 5+ years of building or transforming a PMO team preferred
  • Significant experience with project planning tools
  • Lean Six Sigma (green belt or higher certification) and process improvement experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and proven experience in leading and developing a large team of professionals
  • Proven track record of leading teams in the development and implementation of continuous improvement methodologies and processes
  • Organized leader who sets clear goals and standards of accountability, who is not easily overwhelmed at the volume of transitional change, is resilient and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive and proactive relationships and collaborations across the cross-functional lines of business
  • Accountability mindset and good project manager temperament
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills is a must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project required.
