About the role
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting schedules
- Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist in preparation of external reporting deliverables for auditors, lenders, investors, and external advisors
- Support preparation of financial statement footnotes, including support for complex and non-routine transactions
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across entities, projects, and joint ventures
- Assist in research and documentation under U.S. GAAP
- Prepare initial drafts of technical accounting memos and supporting analyses
- Support accounting for complex transactions, including development activities and capital projects
- Assist in maintaining accounting policies and documentation
- Prepare schedules supporting REIT compliance processes
- Maintain documentation and support packages for REIT compliance and external advisor review
- Assist with ERP implementation efforts, including data validation, testing accounting workflows, and supporting reporting structures
- Identify and implement process improvements within close and reporting cycles
- Own assigned accounting areas and deliverables end-to-end
- Deliver accurate and timely outputs in a fast-paced environment
- Proactively identify issues and escalate to the Senior Manager as appropriate
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–6+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capability
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience in Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) preferred
- Experience in Infrastructure, real estate, or data center environments preferred
- Exposure to Lease accounting (ASC 842) preferred
- Exposure to technical accounting research and memo preparation preferred
- Exposure to REIT concepts or compliance processes preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) preferred
