About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of utility-focused project managers supporting a multiregional hyperscale development pipeline.
- Establish standardized processes, tools, and KPIs for delivery of utility-owned and utility-interfacing infrastructure.
- Oversee staffing, resource allocation, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives for the team.
- Create executive-ready reporting frameworks, risk dashboards, and delivery roadmaps across all projects and markets.
- Guide the team in developing risk-adjusted critical path schedules and identifying early warnings for delivery delays.
- Serve as senior point of contact for utility partners across engineering, operations, and program leadership teams.
- Drive accountability with utilities and contractors through structured governance, status reviews, and escalation mechanisms.
- Partner with Site Development, Engineering, Construction, and Operations to ensure alignment on designs, sequencing, capacity requirements, and energization readiness.
- Collaborate with Sustainability and Customer teams to integrate renewable energy solutions, carbon-free energy pathways, and water efficiency goals.
- Support long-range planning for infrastructure capacity and market expansion strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Power Systems, Construction Management, or related technical field. Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- 8–12 years of progressive experience delivering complex utility, energy, or data center infrastructure projects.
- At least 5 years of direct experience with hyperscale and large load utility infrastructure projects (medium/high voltage and water/wastewater transmission, distribution), interconnection processes, or utility program delivery.
- 3–5 years of people management experience, including building, coaching, and scaling project management teams.
- Proven track record managing large-scale, technical, multi-stakeholder infrastructure programs with aggressive schedules.
- Familiarity with water/wastewater infrastructure, permitting, and municipal utility coordination (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; MS Project or Primavera scheduling experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to lead teams through complex, high-stakes project delivery environments with competing priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Strong negotiation skills and comfort engaging utilities and contractors at senior levels.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity, identify constraints early, and drive to resolution.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects across regions.
