About the role

  • Understand customer needs, optimize user journeys, conduct user and business research, and execute strategic initiatives that enhance customer engagement, conversion, and retention at scale.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and operations to build seamless, intuitive, and impactful customer experiences.
  • Assess, quantify, and prioritize new business opportunities that align with Rover long-term business goals.
  • Track and assess pet industry trends that impact the company, competitors, and partners.
  • Lead large cross-functional and business-critical projects that arise outside of product teams OKRs, including legal and compliance initiatives, strategic contract negotiations, and international growth enablers.
  • Design and execute consumer research across Rover and non-Rover customer groups to identify product features.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase the effectiveness of product pods delivery and impact.
  • Enable product acceleration and agility and support product teams based in Barcelona and Seattle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments. Preferably in a consumer marketplace or e-commerce environment.
  • Proven ability to rapidly onboard into new product areas and drive execution.
  • Highly effective at driving and navigating cross-functional (engineering, design, analytics) and cross-geography collaboration.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in strategic analysis, competitive research, and opportunity assessment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to formulate and deliver thoughtful insights and recommendations around complex business problems and markets.
  • Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with tactical execution.
  • Experience managing projects with legal, operational, or compliance constraints is a plus.
  • Must be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.
  • Hybrid schedule: minimum expectation to work out of Barcelona office two days per week (Mondays and Thursdays).
