About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify faults, repair, test and modify actuators in the field
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
- Perform mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and associated retrofit adaption of components, pedestals and drive shafts
- Complete accurate and technical site visit reports for each job
- Work independently and as part of a National team of Field Service Technicians providing prompt and effective service to customers within the Water, Power, Petrochemical and other associated Industries.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Trade qualified
- QLD Licensed Electrician with EEHA endorsement (EEHA preferred but not essential)
- Electrical engineering background with a QLD restricted electrical qualification
- Experience post apprenticeship in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field-based role
- A full valid driver’s license is required
- Proficient Microsoft Office user i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel
- Confined Space, Working at Heights, and First Aid Competence, or the ability to obtain
- Able and willing to travel for work purposes, both locally and interstate
- Strong technical experience and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators and digital control systems and networks will be highly regarded
- Good understanding of basic electronics, electrical and fluid power theories
- Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and utilization of common test and calibration tools.
