About the role

  • Manage and track all phases of a project to ensure the finished product is delivered complete, on time and within budget.
  • Communicate with the customer and all RMS disciplines in a timely manner the progress and requirements needed throughout the project.
  • Responsible for the larger and more complex projects and the most valued customers.
  • Provide leadership and training to less experienced Project Managers.
  • Review and verify all paperwork handed over in the project kickoff meeting.
  • Coordinate communications between the shop, customers and vendors.
  • Write requisitions and review them with purchasing to assure compliance with requirements.
  • Track the progress of the work orders and help the shop determine project priorities.
  • Review project payment terms with accounting, prepare project invoice requests and help with supporting documentation when required.
  • Keep the customer informed of the project status based on the contract requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience of project management is required, preferably in manufacturing or with rotating equipment.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Ability to act professionally under stressful situations.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and background check.
  • Able to understand, read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
