About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives across infrastructure, applications and operational environments
  • Support the development and execution of the organisation's security roadmap
  • Identify, assess and prioritise security risks across systems, vendors and business processes
  • Strengthen cloud security controls and security monitoring capabilities
  • Review and improve identity and access management processes
  • Partner with engineering teams to promote secure software development practices
  • Support vulnerability management, penetration testing and remediation activities
  • Contribute to incident response planning and security investigations
  • Support security governance, compliance and risk management initiatives
  • Review third-party vendors, integrations and technology partners from a security perspective
  • Promote a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience within Cyber Security, Security Engineering, Cloud Security or Application Security
  • Strong understanding of AWS and cloud security principles
  • Experience with IAM, SSO, MFA and privileged access management
  • Experience securing customer-facing platforms and production environments
  • Strong understanding of application security, API security and secure software development practices
  • Experience with vulnerability management and security testing programmes
  • Familiarity with incident response, monitoring and security operations
  • Experience working within fintech, payments, banking, crypto, lending or regulated financial services environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within fast-moving startup or scale-up environments
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality with a track record of delivering results
  • A builder mindset with the ambition to grow alongside a rapidly scaling business
