About the role
- Assess, monitor, and treat patients with various respiratory conditions.
- Conduct Pulmonary Function Screenings using spirometry equipment.
- Provide patient education regarding pulmonary function tests and respiratory equipment.
- Administer respiratory treatments and medications.
- Conduct diagnostic testing and patient monitoring.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and ensure patient safety during procedures.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and/or Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) preferred.
- AARC Office Spirometry Certificate accepted
- Experience in performing spirometry testing.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of respiratory equipment and medications
