About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and reliable operation of Enterprise level servers, appliances, storage systems, and peripherals
Microsoft 365, AWS and VMware Administration is a plus
Implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures
Performs basic systems administration functions, including managing profiles and accounts, monitors and manages system resources, including CPU, memory and disk usage; performs systems backups and recovery procedures
Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve specific issues or problems; maintains system documentation and logs
Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production system problems
Maintain network and server security, including application security, anti-virus, and user account management
Participate in monitoring, primary response and intervention for information technology-related security incidents and violations
Keep current with new systems; security; network technologies, and applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Windows Systems Administration and Microsoft Active Directory Management
Excellent customer relations skills
Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to coach and mentor Desktop Technicians
Linux fundamentals and willingness to learn Red Hat
Microsoft Certified Administrator or another Systems Administrator certification
Experience as a Jr. Systems Administrator is preferred
