About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Working in a school setting, presents designated evidence-based curriculum to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
  • Designs and develops presentations on subjects related to substance abuse.
  • Initiates and develops contact with various organizations and target groups and emphasizes working relationships between those groups and Rosecrance.
  • Provides technical assistance and consultation services concerning alcohol and other drug related issues to schools, community groups, and others.
  • Networks with local and state youth-serving organizations, including marketing to inform them of Prevention program offerings.
  • Works with other Prevention staff to facilitate the development and implementation of new prevention programming and educational materials.
  • Accurately completes required reports, documentation, and outcomes evaluation tools.
  • Professionally represents Rosecrance and the Prevention program, presenting at assigned community functions such as health fairs and educational workshops for professionals, volunteers, and community groups.
  • Stays abreast of local, state, and national Prevention programs, trends, research, and other relevant information.
  • Attends assigned training sessions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree education, social work, psychology, community health, or related field
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license
  • Ability to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents, and community resources
  • A passion to be a part of a mission driven organization
  • A desire to make a difference in people's lives
