Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a team handling liability and bodily injury claims
Help establish and drive adherence to processes for technical claim handling
Drive pace within team for best-in-class loss performance
Identifies issues in claim handling and recommends solutions
Provide input for continuous development of claims guidelines
Recommends potential product developments and process improvements
Use internal controls associated with claims payments and quality of file handling
Provides technical claims recommendations to improve case outcomes
Engages in learning opportunities to build knowledge of personal lines claims
Recruits, retains and develops a highly motivated claims team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
3+ years of successful experience resolving liability & injury investigations
Strong technical understanding of liability and casualty principles
Experience managing complex injury claims through closure
Ability to build collaborative working relationships
High sense of professionalism while remaining empathetic
Familiarity with claims best practices required
Ability to obtain and maintain insurance licenses in several states (including Texas) within three months
