About the role

  • Apply experienced insight to private passenger automobiles, contract interpretation, multi-state tort law, civil procedure, and litigation matters
  • Research, draft and communicate insurance coverage opinions
  • Interface with claims management, corporate legal and regulatory professionals on a variety of claims-related matters
  • Support claims management with research and analysis of multi-state tort and insurance coverage laws to establish operational policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Present in-person training sessions to adjuster teams and/or management on a variety of legal topics
  • Draft form letters and releases

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor with an active license to practice law
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • First-chair (jury trial) insurance defense litigation experience
  • Technical understanding of property/casualty insurance principles
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Possessed of intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills
  • Comfort with risk analysis, flexibility and concise decision making
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships in a smart and dynamic environment
