Key responsibilities & impact

Apply experienced insight to private passenger automobiles, contract interpretation, multi-state tort law, civil procedure, and litigation matters
Research, draft and communicate insurance coverage opinions
Interface with claims management, corporate legal and regulatory professionals on a variety of claims-related matters
Support claims management with research and analysis of multi-state tort and insurance coverage laws to establish operational policies, procedures, and training programs
Present in-person training sessions to adjuster teams and/or management on a variety of legal topics
Draft form letters and releases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor with an active license to practice law
5+ years of relevant experience
First-chair (jury trial) insurance defense litigation experience
Technical understanding of property/casualty insurance principles
Strong written and oral communication
Possessed of intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills
Comfort with risk analysis, flexibility and concise decision making
Ability to build collaborative working relationships in a smart and dynamic environment
