About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as Room Estate’s apartment hunter for German-speaking Switzerland, with a focus on the Zurich region
  • Systematically search property portals on a daily basis
  • Assess apartments for coliving suitability, including floor plans, condition, building characteristics, and owners’ willingness
  • Arrange viewings and inspect apartments on-site
  • Submit applications on behalf of Room Estate and position the company as the tenant
  • Follow up persistently until a decision is reached
  • Support the process through to lease signing
  • Review lease agreements using a checklist to identify red flags, missing clauses, and discrepancies with the listing
  • Keep the acquisition pipeline clean and document property statuses transparently
  • Work closely with the Acquisition Team Lead
  • Own the end-to-end apartment acquisition process and deliver acquired rooms and signed contracts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ownership and a self-driven working style
  • Experience managing repeatable, tightly controlled processes with high throughput and reliable cadence
  • German at native-speaker level
  • Ability to understand Swiss German in conversations with property managers and owners
  • Persistence and strong negotiation skills
  • An eye for floor plans and coliving suitability
  • Attention to detail when working with checklists
  • Driving license category B (car)
  • Willingness to conduct regular viewings in the Zurich region and elsewhere in German-speaking Switzerland
  • Fluent English, spoken and written
  • No prior specialist knowledge of tenancy law required
  • Experience in the Swiss real estate sector (e.g., apprenticeship in property management, SVIT courses, realtor activity) is a plus
  • Existing network with property managers and owners in the Zurich region is a plus
  • Experience in coliving or serviced-apartment environments is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Swiss tenancy law is a plus
  • French is a plus
