About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Systematically search property portals daily with a clear focus to find suitable apartments
  • Assess apartments for coliving suitability, including floor plan, condition, building, and owner willingness
  • Arrange viewings and inspect apartments on site
  • Submit applications on behalf of Room Estate and position the company as an attractive tenant
  • Persistently follow up until a decision is made
  • Support the process through to lease signing
  • Review lease agreements against a checklist for red flags, missing clauses, and discrepancies from the listing
  • Keep the acquisition pipeline clean and document property status transparently
  • Work closely with the Acquisition Team Lead; discretionary decisions rest with the Team Lead
  • Own end-to-end apartment acquisition for German-speaking Switzerland with a focus on the Zurich region

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ownership and self-management
  • Deliver a closed process with high frequency and a reliable cadence; close loops and prevent dossiers from stalling
  • German at native level
  • Understand Swiss German in conversations with property managers and owners
  • Persistence and negotiation skills
  • An eye for floor plans and the ability to assess coliving suitability and the realistically possible number of rooms
  • Carefulness in checklist work and the ability to spot deviations
  • Driver's license (category B)
  • Willingness to conduct regular viewings in the Zurich region and the rest of German-speaking Switzerland
  • Fluent English, spoken and written
  • Knowledge of tenancy law not required
