About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Systematically search property portals daily with a clear focus to find suitable apartments
- Assess apartments for coliving suitability, including floor plan, condition, building, and owner willingness
- Arrange viewings and inspect apartments on site
- Submit applications on behalf of Room Estate and position the company as an attractive tenant
- Persistently follow up until a decision is made
- Support the process through to lease signing
- Review lease agreements against a checklist for red flags, missing clauses, and discrepancies from the listing
- Keep the acquisition pipeline clean and document property status transparently
- Work closely with the Acquisition Team Lead; discretionary decisions rest with the Team Lead
- Own end-to-end apartment acquisition for German-speaking Switzerland with a focus on the Zurich region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ownership and self-management
- Deliver a closed process with high frequency and a reliable cadence; close loops and prevent dossiers from stalling
- German at native level
- Understand Swiss German in conversations with property managers and owners
- Persistence and negotiation skills
- An eye for floor plans and the ability to assess coliving suitability and the realistically possible number of rooms
- Carefulness in checklist work and the ability to spot deviations
- Driver's license (category B)
- Willingness to conduct regular viewings in the Zurich region and the rest of German-speaking Switzerland
- Fluent English, spoken and written
- Knowledge of tenancy law not required
