About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define technical packages and investigations of work, delivering against programme milestones within agreed cost, timescale, and quality requirements
- Apply safety or plant engineering experience to identify effective solutions to safety management system problems
- Act as the local point of contact for safety management and share subject matter knowledge across the function
- Provide advisory services to designated customers
- Influence peer groups and represent senior departmental staff
- Act as an advisor and coach on technically authoritative matters
- Promote, encourage, and support continuous improvement of tools, processes, and methods within and beyond the immediate safety management specialist area
- Prompt action across the wider team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience of a Nuclear Safety Case or Plant Operator experience (Category A or B Nuclear Watchkeeper)
- Relevant experience in nuclear plant or site safety case writing
- Customer, supplier, or stakeholder management experience at all organisational levels
- Knowledge and experience of product integrity, liability, and certification frameworks
- Bachelor's degree, Master's, PhD in Engineering, or regional equivalent qualification, or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience
- Must hold Security Check clearance, or be eligible for the company-supported application
- Must be a UK national or, in MoD-approved cases, a dual national
