About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Providing technical materials advice focusing on new design and new technology development including UltraFan
- Support Design, Manufacturing and Service Engineering activities for Civil Large Engine applications
- Evaluate the effects of manufacturing processes on material performance
- Support design of test programmes, analysis of test data and generating databases for supporting future product designs
- Developing, writing, and maintaining materials and process specifications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD in Materials Science/Engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience
- An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems
- To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business, an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.
