Chief Audit Engineer
Rolls-RoyceChief Audit Engineer responsible for conducting independent reviews of engineering programmes at Rolls-Royce. Identifying risks and providing guidance for technical issues and project requirements.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct and report on independent reviews of all engineering programmes
- Identify risks, recommend appropriate actions, and agree the adequacy of project responses
- Provide independent Technical Assurance of Engineering Programmes as part of the PILM process
- Provide independent input to the Safety Management System on behalf of the Technical Director
- Provide guidance and assistance to Project and Sub-System teams in solving technical issues
- Assess for and provide guidance on the efficient and effective functioning of the Engineering Capabilities
- Assist Chief Engineers in meeting project, company, and regulatory requirements
- Be a member of Product Safety Review/Assurance Boards when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Recognised by a relevant professional institute e.g. Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society
- Accredited as a professional engineer e.g. Chartered Engineer or equivalent
- Significant controls / units / software / cyber / digital experience would be preferred
- Experience of working across the full PILM and product lifecycles process
- Multi sector experience preferred, Aerospace experience essential
- Leadership of project or function activity
- Had a role with significant exposure to other functions and activities
- Whole Engine Integration or multiple sub-system experience
- Knowledge and reputation in key technical discipline and effective networking.
