About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering activity for Defence Mature programs
- Build external relationships with internal and external supply chain
- Create strategy to ensure Defence Mature Programs components meet Zero defects goals
- Develop manufacturing capabilities on behalf of Defence Design Engineering
- Support Assembly and Test to resolve operational problems
- Responsible for ensuring product safety risks are understood and mitigated
- Promote a culture of zero defects within the area of accountability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering Degree in Mechanical or manufacturing engineering disciplines
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering environment
- DFM and DFX experience
- Knowledge of component design processes
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for a Design Organisation
- System engineering toolset and how to apply root cause analysis techniques
