About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with design release control and engineering change management
Work with cross-functional teams including design engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, purchasing, and logistics
Responsible for the control of current products and introduction of new products for production
Coordinate engineering change management, requests, and cross-functional collaboration for new and existing product changes
Create and maintain product BOMs and part numbers in ERP systems
Support new product design and development, providing input and troubleshooting for Bills of Material concerns
Resolve project issues, monitor work progress, and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to product design processes and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
5 years of experience, or 9 years of application, service, sales, or manufacturing engineering experience in large equipment industry
Strong knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes and principles
Proficient knowledge of design development, manufacturing and assembly operations, engineering processes and procedures
Proficient with SAP, PTC Windchill, Windows for PC, and Excel
Preferred: Proficient with data mining and data cleansing using SAP, Excel, and other company software
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., lean, six sigma)
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or engineering environment
