About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and analyze new business models and applications in the utilities sector.
- Develop new customer relationships; design and implement effective strategies to increase the quantity and quality of leads from the utilities sector.
- Evaluate and qualify leads according to predefined criteria to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Proactively engage prospective customers, analyze their needs, and assess fit with the company's solutions.
- Identify trends, opportunities and competitive dynamics in the utilities sector.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads.
- Provide regular feedback and insights to continuously improve lead generation and qualification processes.
- Monitor and report relevant metrics in lead management, deriving actionable recommendations.
- Build and prepare the foundation for later scaling into international markets through the sales organization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed technical degree with a focus on Electrical Engineering, Energy Economics, Mechanical or Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience with products for power plants and energy systems, preferably internal combustion engines (>3 years).
- Several years of professional experience in business development, product management, or sales, ideally in the utilities sector (>5 years).
- Strong teamworking skills.
- Confident presence, strong presentation skills and excellent verbal communication.
- High level of analytical and conceptual ability.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel 20–40%.
