About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the commercial performance of the Fresh category
  • Work closely with suppliers and support category reviews and commercial negotiations
  • Help manage assortment, pricing and promotions across subcategories such as bakery, frozen, dairy and ready-to-eat
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Supply Chain to support campaigns and stock availability
  • Support the introduction of new products and seasonal ranges
  • Monitor supplier pricing, stock situation, trends and operational updates
  • Work with data, reports and analysis to support better commercial decisions
  • Help optimise processes across the fresh category value chain — from supplier coordination to daily execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • We’re looking for someone who combines commercial curiosity, analytical thinking and a willingness to learn
  • At least 1+ year of experience in category management, buying, sales support, trade marketing or a similar commercial role
  • Experience in Fresh, Food retail, FMCG or e-commerce is a strong advantage
  • Understanding of categories such as bakery, frozen, dairy or ready-to-eat is a strong plus
  • Strong interest in working with data, Excel and AI tools in daily practice
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to follow through on tasks
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with suppliers and internal teams
  • Advanced German and advanced English (written and spoken)
  • Driving licence (Class B) is required for supplier visits
