General Ledger Accountant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger
- Supports the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Recording and documenting general ledger entries
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and HGB
- Communicating with internal and external auditors
- Supporting special projects within the finance function
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or completed vocational training as an industrial/business clerk
- Minimum 5 years' professional experience in accounting
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP (particularly FI)
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
- Experience in an international company is desirable
- High level of responsibility, initiative, and flexibility
