About the role
- Design and maintain modeling assets, including reusable unit operation blocks, equipment sizing and specification calcs, databanks, templates, and reference models
- Define and maintain modeling standards, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure consistency, flexibility, and technical rigor
- Create clear documentation, training materials, and use-case examples that support and enable effective deployment of the software
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify modeling requirements, address pain points, and drive continuous improvement
- Provide structured feedback to product and software teams on usability, workflows, and feature priorities based on real-world modeling needs
- Develop process models to support Roebling implementations for client engagements
Requirements
- BS or higher in Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years minimum (10+ preferred) relevant process engineering and process modeling experience
- Strong expertise in developing process models, including heat and material balances, equipment sizing, and process flow definition
- Solid understanding of core process engineering unit operations and industrial process design principles
- Demonstrated experience with early-stage project development (FEL), technoeconomic analysis, and cost estimation
- Deep familiarity with process modeling methodologies and process simulation software (e.g., AspenPlus, Aspen HYSYS, PRO II, DWSIM, APS, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders from the shop floor to the C-suite
