About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end proposal development for assigned Process Automation Group opportunities, including RFQ intake, scope clarification, technical-commercial alignment, costing, approvals, proposal preparation, customer submission, and handover
  • Prepare customer-facing proposals for Process Automation, DCS, BMS, EMS, Process Safety, APC, drives, digital, cybersecurity, field services, and lifecycle services opportunities
  • Coordinate with Sales, Industry BDMs, Solution Consultants, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Commercial Operations, Legal, Tax, Trade Compliance, and Delivery teams
  • Manage proposal records, costing inputs, risk reviews, PROMS/PGR requirements, assumptions, exclusions, schedules, payment milestones, and approval documentation
  • Identify and escalate risks related to scope, delivery model, schedule, third-party supply, intercompany execution, tax, trade compliance, customer terms, and non-standard contract requirements
  • Support multi-BU, intercompany, revenue-sharing, cost-recovery, and PAG integration-related proposal scenarios
  • Build reusable PAG proposal content, standard scope wording, checklists, application references, risk notes, and knowledge-base materials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in proposal development, project engineering, application engineering, solution consulting, or technical-commercial roles within industrial automation
  • Strong understanding of process automation and industrial control systems, including PLC, DCS, BMS, EMS, SIS, SCADA, drives, industrial networks, and lifecycle services
  • Solid knowledge of proposal workflow, cost estimation, pricing, internal approvals, risk review, commercial terms, and customer-facing proposal preparation
  • Ability to understand customer RFQ documents, technical specifications, application requirements, commercial constraints, and delivery assumptions
  • Strong English writing and speaking capability
  • Strong Chinese communication capability and ability to work effectively with China-based teams, vendors, and customers
  • High attention to detail, strong ownership, and ability to manage multiple opportunities under tight deadlines in a matrixed organization
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation proposal tools and processes, such as ProMS, PGR, Salesforce, Estim8, Quote Builder, or similar estimation and approval tools
  • Experience with third-party vendors, panel builders, engineering partners, global delivery teams, and complex internal stakeholder coordination
  • Commercial awareness related to margin, cashflow, payment milestones, escalation, contingency, tax, trade compliance, and contract risk considerations
