About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead standardization efforts of proposals and tools for designated products, services, or solutions
Work with Sales, Consultants, and Specialists to assess and respond to IT/OT, engineering, consulting, project, and support services opportunities
Understand customer needs and position and quote desired outcomes for solutions
Manage the proposal process from bid request through approvals, including information gathering, scope definition, solution design, and costing
Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consultants, Sales Specialists, Engineering, Services, and peer proposal teams
Expand the scope of requested solutions
Incorporate Rockwell Automation offerings, including Connected Services, Process/Power & Control/Information Solutions, Packaged Power, and local Field Labor
Use global estimating tools and Global Engineering Center proposal resources
Advise Consultants and Sales on proposal generation and validation
Develop technical and commercial proposals and commercial offers aligned with customer needs, business and financial goals, and internal policies
Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for customers, sales organizations, and channels
Manage commercial offers, presales support, and bid offer activities for assigned products, services, and solutions within a defined geography

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical related field or equivalent
5+ years' experience as an estimator, proposal engineer, or contract, project, or application engineering-focused professional
Understanding of Rockwell Automation application value
Knowledge of automation products including PLC, Standard Drives, Software, Networks, and third-party products
Good application and industry knowledge
Solution and application expertise with demonstrated sales experience
Fluency in the native language and command of English, written and spoken
Ability to work with and gain the confidence of senior-level internal and external personnel in a collaborative, matrixed partner organization
