About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the bidding process for large IT&OT services, solutions, design, and manufacturing services opportunities from initial contact through contract signing
  • Control costing/pricing and verify terms
  • Prepare, validate, and endorse technical solutions
  • Plan and develop technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer needs and business and financial goals
  • Act as a subject matter expert for customers, sales, and departments on Rockwell Automation technologies, products, services, and solutions
  • Deliver and manage commercial offers and provide pre-sales support to sales organizations and channels
  • Lead standardization of proposals and tools using project management methodology
  • Manage stakeholders associated with winning opportunities
  • Influence sales teams in filtering IO/OT projects and services opportunities to achieve win-rate targets
  • Prepare LCS sales quotations and proposals on time
  • Expand solution scope by incorporating Rockwell Automation portfolio offerings
  • Assess bids, estimate risks and costs, generate and approve proposals, enter orders, generate front-log reports, and transfer work internally
  • Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consultants, Sales Specialists, Engineering, Services, and regional and global proposal teams
  • Research technical and commercial proposals to ensure competitive advantage
  • Use Global estimating tools and Global Engineering Center proposal resources
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support customer satisfaction
  • Prepare solution presentations and responses to customer inquiries
  • Transfer new industry application knowledge to Sales, FBL, and LCS engineering teams
  • Contribute to marketing collateral including brochures, white papers, and application notes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical related field or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • 5+ years' experience as an estimator, proposal engineer, or contract, project, or application engineering-focused professional in a project-oriented environment
  • High level of knowledge in PLC, DCS, Standard Drive, and Networks
  • Industry and application knowledge
  • Good English writing and speaking skills
  • Ability to align and influence critical stakeholders
  • Passion for developing goals to improve customer experience
  • Vertical experience in Chemical & Semi industry preferred
