About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Quickly understand new software and create User Manual/Getting Started Guide/Release Notes content using Madcap Flare.
- Develop and document technical content that describes the software applications.
- Test and execute the software installation guides and report any anomalies using Jira.
- Participate peer reviews of documentation content for quality and accuracy and provide weekly status and meet regularly with group.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing.
- Knowledge of MadCap Flare.
- Knowledge of structured authoring, DITA, CMS, and XML.
- Hands on experience with MS Suite, Acrobat, Snagit, Paint, video recording tools, virtual images, Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
- 1+ years experience as an effective technical writer in an agile development environment.
- 1+ years of experience with common style guides such as Chicago Manual of Style, and Microsoft Manual of Style.
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence, or similar platforms.
