About the role
- Develop personal technical expertise and commercial knowledge of Rockwell Automation Smart Process products and industrial automation environments
- Serve as Asia Pacific regional technical expert supporting SPR, SEA, India, Japan, Korea, and Greater China
- Support marketing and sales in pre-sales customer engagements including system architecture reviews, proof of concepts, and recommendations
- Coordinate with sub‑regional Software & Control teams, account teams, and cross‑BU partners to align solution approach, pricing/packaging guardrails, and delivery readiness
- Prepare technical documentation, presentations, webinars, videos, and other tools to improve Salesforce and domain expert effectiveness
- Support trade shows through the creation of presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on labs
- Conduct customer demonstrations remotely and in Customer Solution and Experience Centres
- Build data‑driven business cases and write commercial justifications for offer enhancements
- Analyse pipeline, win–loss, attach, and usage data to identify product/offer gaps and quantify impact
- Report to Director, SWC AP and work in a hybrid model from Gurgaon, Pune, or Bangalore with up to 35% travel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience with control system design and supporting customer applications
- Demonstrated DCS/Process application experience
- Design efficient networking experience
- Ability to operate across time zones and triage ambiguous problems
- Ability to drive self-paced learning
- Experience with PlantPAx, Integrated Architecture Builder, FactoryTalk Linx, Studio 5000 Design Software, FactoryTalk View SE, and Redundancy Systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of Rockwell Automation products including PLCs, Motor Control, Operator Interface, Networking/Communication, Information Software, Safety and I/O (preferred)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and/or virtualization software (preferred)
- Knowledge of DevOps workflows (preferred)
- Knowledge of Python, C# or other high-level language (preferred)
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise accordingly
- Capable to lead projects and/or project teams
- Willingness to travel up to 35%
