About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop safety‑critical manufacturing test systems for products, integrating software, hardware, and systems engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to solutions to challenges in platform management, technical debt, data management, and cybersecurity.
- Apply software engineering best practices and contribute to their adoption across the cross‑functional team.
- Innovate within manufacturing by exploring advancements in automation, artificial intelligence, and new technologies.
- Participate in a cross‑functional Agile team within a larger Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization, including sprint and product increment planning.
- Initiate early collaboration with product teams to ensure new designs are optimized for testing, programming, and automation from the outset.
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, release, maintenance, and ongoing support.
- Communicate project progress, schedules, risks, and challenges.
- Provide tier 2 support for technical problems with test equipment in live production.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- The ability to travel 10% of the time.
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience (internships, co‑ops, and school project teams may be considered).
- Experience developing software in languages such as C#, C++, or Python.
- Experience developing software for systems involving both hardware and software.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI tools.
- Experience with hardware‑software integration and test.
- Experience working in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Experience developing requirements and working in requirements‑driven environments.
- Experience with testing and test coverage strategies.
