About the role
- As an Advanced Process Control Engineer, you will be at the heart of custom application delivery teams.
- These teams use Rockwell Automation's advanced analytics and model predictive control products to create online applications.
- The goal of these applications is to improve our customer's manufacturing processes.
- You will assess the customer's process.
- You will develop mathematical models that can be used to predict system behaviour.
- You will configure online applications that use this knowledge to calculate process setpoints.
- These setpoints will control product quality, production capacity, and energy usage.
- As part of our delivery team you will oversee the full technical implementation of the projects assigned to you from preliminary design through the completion of commissioning and customer acceptance.
- You will cover the technical implementation including supporting hardware installation and system integration.
- You will report to the Data, Business Manager, MPC AP and follow a hybrid working schedule in Pune, India.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in chemical engineering or other engineering with heavy modelling, statistics, or process control focus
- 3+ years of experience implementing advanced control solutions in a process manufacturing environment
- Interest in automation, process control and advanced model-predictive applications
- Experience leading complex projects in a process industry
- Experience with instrumentation, industrial control systems and supervisory control applications
- Experience with advanced process control implementation or business case development
- Familiarity with DCS (SCADA, HMI, .) and PLC configuration
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time, typically 1 or 2 week trips.
- Must be willing to comply with customer safety and health requirements including submitting to and passing drug tests, safety training.
- Experience leading complex projects
- A degree in chemical engineering or other engineering with heavy modelling, statistics, or process control focus
