About the role
- Maintain a strategic roadmap and author high-level functional requirements for major initiatives, ensuring technical feasibility and commercial viability.
- Define "The What" by creating initial value propositions, feature themes, and detailed logic flows to ensure the Product Owner and Dev team have a clear path forward.
- Perform trade-off analysis to ensure the team focuses on initiatives with the highest ROI and mission alignment.
- Lead the "Discovery" phase—identifying MVP requirements, writing initial specs, and defining success metrics for new ventures.
- Communicate the "Why" behind the product direction to the entire company, ensuring everyone understands the vision and the mechanics of how they get there.
- Step into the "weeds" of the backlog when necessary to assist the PO in refining complex technical stories or edge cases.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in a relevant field required.
- 3+ years of modern product management experience. A proven track record of writing high-quality PRDs (Product Requirement Documents) or functional specs is essential.
- Proven ability to work within a structured product org, reporting to a Director while guiding a Product Owner/Dev team.
- Deep experience with Agile/Scrum and a sophisticated understanding of how to manage the lifecycle of an initiative from concept to launch.
