About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and manage enterprise release strategies, deployment schedules, and implementation plans supporting multiple project workstreams.
  • Coordinate software releases across engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, testing, cloud operations, and Government stakeholders.
  • Lead release planning meetings, deployment readiness reviews, and production go/no-go decision activities.
  • Develop release calendars and coordinate implementation timelines across multiple technical teams.
  • Manage production deployment activities, cutover planning, rollback procedures, and post-deployment validation.
  • Monitor release progress, implementation risks, and deployment dependencies while coordinating issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineers, Engineering Leads, Configuration Management, and cybersecurity teams to ensure production readiness.
  • Maintain release documentation, deployment procedures, implementation records, and operational runbooks.
  • Track release metrics, implementation performance, and lessons learned to improve future deployment activities.
  • Promote DevSecOps, automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and release management best practices across the program.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing enterprise software releases, deployments, or implementation activities.
  • Experience coordinating production releases across multiple technical teams within complex IT environments.
  • Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, SAFe, DevSecOps, CI/CD, or hybrid software development methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, Git, Jenkins, or similar release management and collaboration tools.
  • ITIL Foundation, PMP, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based implementations, including AWS GovCloud or Azure Government, is preferred.
  • Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.
